Eric Energy delivers entertainment and education in these workshops:

All programs run 45-60 minutes and include an energetic class scientist. There is a 12 student minimum for each class.

Class #1: Powerful Polymers
Students will:
• Learn about the concept of long chained molecules (Polymers)
• Participate in an interactive activity and witness the breakdown of long chained molecules.
• Make their own polymer to take home


Class #2: It Does Matter
Students will:
• Learn about the 3 states of matter and participate in an interactive activity
• Learn about dry ice (frozen carbon dioxide)
• Witness visual dry ice experiments


Class #3: The Air up There
Students will:
• Learn about airstreams and witness eye-catching experiments
• Learn about vortexes and vortex generators
• Students will create their own vortex generators to take home


Class #4: Thunder and Lightning
Students will:
• Learn about the wonders of electricity
• Explore the concept of sound and sound waves
• Make their own sound catchers


Class #5: Larry the Laser
Students will:
• Learn about white and laser light
• Perform experiments using both types
• Witness a laser light show


Class #6: Motion
Students will:
• Learn and experiment with gravity
• Learn about the history and science of the yo-yo
• Learn how to yo-yo and perform basic tricks
